In 2016 I visited the vitra headquarter in Basel, Switzerland to present a new working concept. Since workspaces are becoming more activity based it is important to gather a precise understanding on the needs of workspace users. Several impact factors are influencing the performance of teams in a new work setting. New approaches in data collection in the field of Organizational Behavior make unconscious needs of user visible. Companies such as vitra can use these insights before they plan the design, the colors, the fabrics, and arrangement of the new work environment and can update their design with several highlights in real-time, when a team assembly changes over time.
